Moët & Chandon hosted 150 of Johannesburg’s most revered celebrities and VIPs at the dazzling Moët Party Day held at the Four Seasons.
Guests danced the night away with fellow champagne fans around the globe courtesy of cutting-edge video mapping including scenography featuring cities around the world and live streaming of #MOETMOMENTS via a Moët & Chandon social wall.
Guests including Nomzamo Mbatha, Boity Thulo, Maps Maponyane and Basetsana Kumalo celebrated in true Moët & Chandon glamorous style, all adding their personalised messages of “how they own their throne” to the custom designed Moët & Chandon ‘In The Company of Royalty’ crown wall and dancing the night away.
South Africa’s DJs of the moment, DJ p.H and DJ Zinhle, rocked the dancefloor in suitably glamorous champagne style.
Bars are so last season! South African guests were served from Moët & Chandon magnums by a ‘living’ champagne fountain.
Mzansi royalty shared their Moët Party Day experience, in glamorous champagne style, with their millions of followers ensuring we were trending for the day!
Belvedere Vodka invited Cape Town’s top bartenders and well-known personalities to an exclusive Garden Party at Rust en Vreug on 16 March 2016.
The hosts for the day were Claire Smith-Warner, Head of Spirits Creation & Mixology for Belvedere Vodka, and Ryan Chetiyawardana, International Bartender of the Year 2015 and Founder of the White Lyan and Dandelyan bars in London; who were visiting from the UK.
Guests were invited to relearn natural at a natural cocktail master class, led by Claire and Ryan, who shared what naturalness means to Belvedere and how to mix perfectly natural cocktails using locally sourced ingredients.
Next, guests were paired up and given the opportunity to have some fun hand picking and sourcing ingredients from the garden surrounds to craft their best natural Belvedere cocktail.
It was a perfect summer’s day of natural indulgence at Cape Town’s hidden urban oasis.
Hailing from all over South Africa, friends of Veuve Clicquot donned their best bright & bold polo outfits this past Saturday to enjoy a stylish afternoon of high-goal polo, fast cars and the finest champagne for the six annual Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo Cape Town 2016 Presented by Mantis Collection.
The scenic Val de Vie Estate in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley once again played host to this trendy affair and ensured that guests stepped into a picture perfect world that celebrates the best Cape Town. After all what better way to beat the Cape Town heat than with a flute of chilled Veuve Clicquot in a picturesque setting?
Event co-owners VIVIDLUXURY and Val de Vie Events created a world class event, which captivated guests; from the Ferrari vehicle display to a perfectly curated fashion show by D’oré – the afternoon was brought to life under the theme Let Life Surprise You. Drawing inspiration from Madame Clicquot’s zest for embracing life and ‘inventing the things of tomorrow’, the Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo surprised and delighted guests at every turn.
Staying true to the theme guests were greeted by a surprising 3D Veuve Clicquot photo booth experience where event media partner E! Entertainment Africa chatted to celebs and VIPs on arrival about their fashionable ensembles and more.
Polo fans enjoyed an exciting 12-goal polo tournament with top national and international players competing. Team Seven Oaks won the opening match – playing for third place in the tournament – against Shimmy Beach Club, while Fifth Chukka representing Veuve Clicquot won with an amazing score of 7 – 3 against One Zone Polo representing Julius Bär in the riveting main game. Ferrari was there to throw in the ball along with Moët Hennessy’s Regional Managing Director for Africa and Middle East, Pascal Asin and the Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom at the start of the final game.
Official Fashion Partner of the 2016 event, D’oré showcased the thought provoking Vanessa Gounden, Artivism for Breast Cancer collection that will retail exclusively at D’oré in South Africa. Moroccanoil, the Official Hair Partner of the event, reflected the latest international hair trends on the runway, with their top international runway stylist, Voilet Sainsbury, jetting in from Australia for the event.
The emcees for the day, Leigh-Anne Williams and Afrika Melane, entertained and enchanted guests with their charm and wit, while the polo commentator for the day, the illustrious Matthew Pohl, kept guests glued to their seats, not a difficult task with the most riveting polo played on the Val de Vie greens to date.
There is perhaps no other sport that carries the prestige and class that the Sport of Kings does. The opulent affair has grown beyond expectations over the years, attracting the cream of the crop of both local and international guests. This year’s VIP guest list included Nigerian, Ghanaian and South African celebrities such as Big Brother Africa presenter Vimbai Mutinhiri, Nigerian musician Praiz, OC Ukeje and some of South Africa’s finest celebrities such as Nomzamo Mbatha, Jeannie D, Jen Su, Bonnie Mbuli, Lee-Ann and Nicky van der Walt, Maps Maponyane, Ayanda Thabethe, Siv Ngesi, Tanya van Graan and many more.
The Best Dressed competition for the day, judged by Elle magazine was another highlight in the action-packed programme of events. The Best Dressed Female of the day award went to the acclaimed Isibaya actress, Nomzamo Mbatha. Best Dressed Couple went to Nandi Ndlovu and Buntu Ngcuka, while Best Dressed Male went to blogger and presenter Shiraz Reddy – a difficult choice given the high level of style and sophistication displayed at this year’s event. Guests loved the bright and bold theme, inspired by Veuve Clicquot’s bright yellow label.
Ryk Neethling, Marketing Director for Val de Vie Estate handed over a R100 000 cheque from Official Charity Partner, ISPS Handa, for Hope through Action in aid of sports development in the Paarl Valley area.
The Fifth Chukka team took home the coveted winning trophy and the Best Pony of the day was Who’s That Girl, owned by South African Polo Team Captain Tom de Bruin. After a spellbinding day of fast-paced polo, guests proceeded to the pop-up Shimmy Beach after party for one final toast to #VCMastersPolo.
