The father of old-school tattooing, Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins was a true classic in every sense of the word. A tough old sea dog with a shrewd intellect, Jerry excelled at a unique style of folk art that symbolised an important time in American history and created an artistic legacy that is still felt today.
Jerry’s education began in his early teens hand-poking pelican ink tattoos while hoping freight across the country. At 19, he arrived in Chicago and began cutting his tattoo chops in the infamous arcades of State Street under the tutelage of “Tatts” Thomas.
MASTER AND APPRENTICE
Sailor Jerry Spiced is all about the blend. We carefully select rums from the finest Caribbean distilleries and blend them with our own recipe of natural spices and flavours. It’s bold and smooth, made with the same sense of craft that Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins applied to his own work.
Vanilla, dry buttery toffee and subtle cinnamon notes
Warm spices of cinnamon & nutmeg with rich vanilla. A long dry finish balanced with a subdued sweetness and a very nice hint of toasted toffee.
